Narrowboat Risograph
Narrowboat Risograph
This print is the first print in my new ‘Escapes’ range of prints that celebrates all the different ways people are finding a bit of solace after nearly two years of lockdowns and restrictions.
I’ve always loved looking at all the narrowboats moored up in Liverpool’s docks and all the different ways people have customised them, from their paint jobs to flags and decals to turning the roof into a little garden.
This print is an A4 (297x210mm), four colour Risograph print (Aqua Blue, Orange, Green and Black). Which uses environmentally friendly Soy based inks and is printed on Coffee Cup 170gsm paper which is a recycled paper made from old take out coffee cups.
Risograph is a stencil based printing method where each colour is applied through a different stencil. As such every print is different and may have colours slightly offset. I love the effect it gives as it makes the prints look like they’re vintage prints made on an old printing press. Please bear this in mind while purchasing.
